The Royal Museum is a gorgeous Victorian building, which stands out for its height and the glass roof  which fills the Main Hall with natural light. The museum hosts some magnificent international decorative art, science, industry and nature collections. Some parts of the museum date back to millions of years, others just a few decades, but all of them reflect the diversity of the life on earth, to which comparison human being appear very insignificant. The Royal Museum is situated in the vicinity of the Museum of Scotland.

Opening times: Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 17 pm, Tuesday from 10 am to 20 pm, Sunday from 12 am to 17 pm.

tickets: individual entry to permanent exhibitions is free. For museum card holders (Friend of Museum Scheme) £16; pair of friends £24; Families £30.
